“LightBeings” A multimedia live performance and group photo exhibition based on three artists perspective of LightBeings. Experience the realm where we unveil our deepest truths + embrace our divine nature.
"Light-beings have experienced an awakening of self. Our spirits rejoice in the knowing of our deepest truths, thus our consciousness elevates, and the divine light within us begins to shine.
When we deeply connect with our inner-self, we are able to realize our interconnectedness to all things. We are all light-beings."
Guest Curated by Stephanie C Magaldi
MEET THE ARTISTS
Bubba Carr
Bubba Carr is best known as a professional dancer, choreographer, and now photographer. After a 20 year successful career dancing in LA, he moved to Atlanta in 2004 to get out of the business but low and behold got drawn back in due to the growing movie industry here. He picked up his first professional camera three years ago and fell in love with capturing images right away. With no experience using the camera, he picked up some lessons to learn the mechanics of the camera and that allowed the freedom for his creativity to grow. With Bubba’s background, he loves shooting moving images and capturing emotion that involves the entire body. The photographs in “LightBeings” are part of a larger series called “innermost” that is due out mid 2017 in a solo show. The idea behind the series is to show intimate moments of self. The subjects in the photographs include musicians, poets, singers, writers, rappers, actors, circus artists, baristas, visual artists, and professional dancers all in display of their glorious connection with movement inside their own bodies.
