Dana Burrell, Judi Butin |
| The two ceramic artists in residence met while taking handbuilding classes at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. Even with a wonderful community of clay artists at Callanwolde, the two soon realized they had a strong desire for their own studio space. Hearing about the old Methodist Church, which was being renovated into studios, was a dream come true for the artists. They would be able to have affordable studio space in a great location. |
| Dana Burrell creates figurative pieces which are developed from memories of dreams or prompted by stories heard in her childhood. Both sources provide the viewer with a small glimpse of her personal thoughts. |
| Judi Butin creates fantastic tile installations covered with intricately detailed scenes. She loves nature and often has flowers as the highlight of her work. She is not afraid to use color and the viewer is treated to a delightful palette. |
