With over 30 paintings done in various mediums, this collection has been named after the powerful color alizarin crimson. The two artists express their own separate visions with a common element of beauty and power, which is shared by the color alizarin crimson, thus inspiring the show name "Alizarin". The color itself is not evident in every piece, more so, it is the 'concentrated power' that it invokes... deep dark red, like that of blood, the essence of life.
Lisa will be presenting mostly sewn oil on canvas featuring a bevy of animals and graceful, yet 'difficult' women, as she calls them.

Katherine's highly rendered oil on panel paintings displaying the lush colors of nature and organic forms will be a treat for the eyes.

We're excited about the installation of the two artists' colorful inspirational collection. |
