In the late 1800’s the building that houses the front of Blue Mark Studios was a United Methodist Church.  It was sold in 1970 and re-named the St. James Baptist Church, which flourished in Atlanta for nearly 30 years.  By 2008 the Church was home to a congregation of less than a hundred members and had fallen into financial difficulty and disrepair.
